BNP Paribas has taken an emerging market debt structuring specialist from rival JP Morgan to lead the "aggressive" development of its structured credit operations in Russia and the wider Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern European region.

Vlad Galea, who had worked within JP Morgan's emerging markets structuring and marketing team in London, has joined as head of BNP Paribas' emerging markets structuring group reporting directly to Kara Lemont and Herve Besnard.
