BNP Paribas has extended its European hedge fund services operation to the US with the global launch of its synthetic prime sales and trading business.

The global department will be headed by Rich Sansaricq, who currently is the managing director of equity finance sales in the US. Since he joined the French investment bank in 2006, he has launched BNP Paribas' synthetic portfolio swap and equity swap platforms in the US.
