The securities services unit of BNP Paribas is betting on a fintech start-up that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to help asset managers meet their regulatory requirements and manage big data.

BNP Paribas Securities Services, part of the group's corporate and institutional arm, has taken a minority stake in Fortia Financial Solutions, according to a January 30 statement.
