BNP Paribas to shift €400m into equities

BNP Paribas Asset Management's new chief investment officer has revealed plans to move €400m ($502m) into equities from bonds next week in an attempt to boost the bank's investment performance.

Christian Dargnat, who joined as chief investment officer from Credit Agricole Asset Management last month, told Bloomberg he believes stocks will outperform bonds. He said this belief was not currently reflected in the firm's asset allocation.
