BoA beefs up in Germany

Bank of America has become the latest investment bank to hire a senior adviser to boost its German business. Hans-Olaf Henkel, a former executive at technology group IBM, has signed an initial two-year agreement as Bank of America launches a push into Germany.

Henkel is a member of the supervisory boards of several large German companies, including Bayer, the chemical company, Continental, the tyre group, and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace.
