BoA's chief executive tops tops peers for shareholder return

Bank of America's chief executive is the best value among his Wall Street peers, according to analysis by Financial News.

The US bank made pre-tax profits of $32bn (€24bn) last year, for which chief executive Kenneth Lewis received total remuneration of $27.9m. This means he generated $1.146bn in pre-tax profit last year for every $1m he earned in pay, edging out rival Charles Prince at Citigroup, who made $1.144bn in profit for every $1m he earned.
