BofA Merrill Lynch raids rivals amid international hiring spree

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired 13 bankers in the past week as it plugs gaps left by exits and builds in new businesses, with the latest the appointment of two managing directors to run its global foreign exchange options business.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch said yesterday that it had hired Christopher Bae, formerly a managing director in Goldman Sachs' equity derivatives trading group, and Thomas Gillie, formerly head of Credit Suisse's Asian foreign exchange options trading and structuring in Asia. They will join the firm in October, reporting to Chris Vogel, head of G10 currency trading.
