Booming ETF fund gives Bill Gross new bragging right

The Pimco Total Return ETF has attracted $1.2bn in new money through May

In one of the fastest growth spurts ever for a new exchange-traded fund, Pimco's Total Return ETF has taken in $1.202bn since its February launch, according to Morningstar.

The fund, known by its symbol BOND on the New York Stock Exchange, had a net inflow of $545m in May alone, outpacing Pimco's mammoth Total Return Fund, which the ETF tracks.
