British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak will be fined by UK police for breaking Covid-19 lockdown rules, the British government said, reigniting a long-running scandal.

London's Metropolitan Police has been probing allegations that multiple social events were held in government offices during the Covid-19 pandemic at times when ordinary Britons were ordered to avoid or reduce socialising.
