Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been called to receive his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, with the treatment set to be developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

“Perhaps the best thing that I can say about the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine programme is that I’ve finally got news that I’m going to have my own jab very shortly,” Johnson told MPs in the House of Commons on 17 March.
