Boris Johnson hints at easing lockdown restrictions on Monday after May Bank Holiday

The prime minister's comments come as trade unions slam the leaked guidance on workplaces as unsafe

British Prime minister Boris Johnson has said that “some” of the measures to ease restrictions following a nationwide lockdown might be introduced on Monday, 11 May, in his first session of parliamentary questions in the House of Commons since recovering from coronavirus.

The UK leader said that he would be announcing the government’s plans on Sunday, as authorities face pressure from businesses on when the economy will reopen.
