UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a one-off £1000 payment in December to pubs that do not serve food in England as the nation is expected to move back into a regional restrictions system.

“Wet” pubs, which only serve alcohol, will be hardest hit in Tier 2 zones where customers can only be served alcohol if they order a “substantial meal”.
