Prime minister Boris Johnson has given his first press conference since recovering from Covid-19, saying that he will announce a “comprehensive” plan next week to explain how the British economy will be reopened.

The guidance will explain “how we can get our economy moving, how we can get children back to school, how we can travel to work and make life in the workplace safer”, Johnson said, adding that the UK has passed the peak of the coronavirus outbreak.
