UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has signalled the end of the first phase in the fight back against Covid-19, while calling on the British public to maintain social distancing to avoid a second wave of the infection.

In his first public address outside Downing Street since returning to work after his own battle with the deadly virus, he also highlighted the risk of a second spike in new infections and deaths.
