It is "vital" that the pandemic recovery does not repeat the same mistakes as that which followed the financial crisis in 2008, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told world leaders as the G7 Summit kicked off in Cornwall.

"It is vital that we don’t repeat the mistakes of the last great crisis, the last big economic recession of 2008 when the recovery was not uniform across all parts of society," Johnson said, speaking from Cornwall on 11 June.
