Independent investment banks slammed for dearth of senior women

Men make up over 90% of senior staff at smaller and independent investment banks

The world’s top independent investment banks have come under fire for a startling lack of diversity in their upper ranks, with women making up less than 8% of senior positions.

Analysis of 14 banks by Financial News shows men account for more than 90% of around 2,300 senior staff at smaller and independent banks, which included Evercore, Lazard, Rothschild and Moelis & Co.
