Charles Brand, the veteran global equities manager, has left SLC Asset Management to join Principal Investment Management, a UK private banking and unit trust boutique.

Brand joined SLC, now owned by Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), in March 2001 after 13 years at Morley Fund Management, where he latterly worked as head of global equities. Brand has 17 years of investment experience on a broad range of equity funds and has a top decile 12-year personal track record in the US equity fund management, according to Caps, the performance measurement firm. SLC confirmed that he had been made redundant.
