Breaking barriers: Meet the first openly gay chief of London’s stock exchange

The operator of the London Stock Exchange has appointed Julia Hoggett as chief executive of the UK capital’s main market, who will manage the exchange from spring next year.

She replaces interim chief Denzil Jenkins and Nikhil Rathi, who was boss of the LSE before he left to oversee the Financial Conduct Authority earlier this year. Hoggett will step down from her current role as director of market oversight at the FCA in April.
