Brevan Howard Asset Management has hired the former head of gilts trading at Jefferies, as Europe's largest hedge fund manager continues to add ex-investment bank talent to its ranks.

Peter Blandford, who left the US bank in February after almost two years, joined Brevan Howard last week as a partner, according to a person familiar with the situation and the UK's Financial Services Register. Before Jefferies, he held roles at Morgan Stanley and HSBC, according to the Register.
