Brewin Dolphin shakes up board

UK-listed broker-turned-investment manager Brewin Dolphin has named David Nicol as chief executive and elevated Simon Miller from deputy chairman to chairman. The moves, announced to the stock market this morning, are among a raft of board changes that will also see the departure of executive chairman Jamie Matheson after eight years in that role and 40 years in the City. Nicol joined Brewin Dolphin's board as a non-executive in March last year, having previously held operations and finance roles at Morgan Stanley and been a board member of Morgan Stanley International from 2004 until 2010.
