Brexit has been blamed for the lacklustre pickup in City job vacancies in January - a month which normally sees a surge in available posts.

While there was an 81% increase in jobs available between December and January, according to the latest figures from recruitment agency Morgan McKinley, Hakan Enver, operations director at the firm, said: “If the January jobs surge isn’t in the triple digits, something’s off.”
