The British love to debate. A war of words has boomed across dinner tables and tabloids. Confusion reigns as each side pours scorn on the other’s arguments. Conflicting facts fly on the economy, sovereignty and immigration.
The debate has, however, largely ignored how far Britain has come since it joined the European Union. Economically Britain is now a good performer, with 2.2% growth in 2015 and low unemployment at 5.1%, a far cry from the International Monetary Fund bailout of the 1970s.
