Discussions between London and Brussels to hammer out an additional deal on financial services could run past the first three months of 2021, the UK’s chief negotiator has said.

Speaking to journalists on 29 December, David Frost said the Christmas Eve agreement signed by the UK and the EU only dictates that meetings must begin taking place on a “memorandum of understanding” between the two sides by March.
