The UK’s most senior government ministers have this week been summoned to Prime Minister Theresa May’s country retreat to settle a long-running dispute over the style of Brexit the country’s negotiators should be pursuing.

Resolving the spat — which has pitted business-friendly MPs advocating a less-complete, transitional exit against eurosceptics calling for a complete separation — is crucial as the government prepares to publish a long-awaited policy document detailing its vision for Brexit.
