Bridgepoint Capital, the former private equity arm of NatWest, has paid £76m (€121.93) for Spring Skills and Spring Education as part of its buy-and-build strategy for Protocol, the educational services provider.

Bridgepoint acquired Protocol Associates in April this year with the intention of creating one of the largest providers of education and training services. Protocol is a provider of educational databases, management information and software products and services.
