Bridgepoint hires Davison from Warburg Pincus

Bridgepoint, the mid-market buy-out house, has hired John Davison, a former Warburg Pincus consultant and one-time Olympic Games competitor, as a director in its London office.

Davison began his private equity career in the London office of Carlyle Group, the US private equity house where he specialised in media, telecoms and industrial investments. He left in 1998 after three years to train for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where he competed in the clay pigeon shooting events.
