Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has promoted David Mitchell to investment director within its property team.

Mitchell, will be responsible for running SWIP's UK Balanced Property Trust. The new £227m (€367m) fund was launched in March this year. Mitchell will also be responsible for the £170m Airport Industry Property Portfolio.
