CVC Capital Partners, the private equity group, has hired Hugh Briggs, a former principal at buy-out firm MidOcean Partners, as a director to focus on debt structuring for large transactions.

Working alongside David Milne, Briggs will be the third member of a London-based team headed by partner Marc Broughton. The team's role is to bolster the execution capabilities of CVC's local European teams by securing competitive debt financing structures.
