Great Britain and Switzerland have long-standing and historic ties and similarities. They share a unique 700-year tradition of Parliamentary democracy and respect for the liberties, qualities which are an inspiration and example to all the states of Europe.

Today, however, some British diplomatic efforts to pursue Brexit have raised questions about the relationship between the two countries. As a Swiss national with significant business interests in Switzerland and London, I will try to reconcile the differing positions.
