Britain to donate surplus vaccine dose stash to poorer countries

The UK has secured more than 400 million doses — more than it needs — while some countries have yet to administer a single dose of the vaccine

The UK will donate the majority of its future surplus in vaccine doses to poorer countries around the world following global pressure.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to make the pledge in a virtual speech at a G7 meeting later on 19 February.
