The EY Item Club forecast also predicted the UK’s economy will shrink by 11.5% by the end of 2020

The UK’s economic recovery could take four years, a prominent economic forecast has found, as hopes of a V-shaped rebound continue to fade.

In its 27 July economic projections, EY predicted that Britain’s economic output will not return to its 2019 level until 2024.
