Britannic Asset Management profits fall in first half

Operating profit at Britannic Group's asset management business fell a third to £6m (€9.4m) in the first half of this year, as the company said it would cut 200 staff in its life business.

Britannic Asset Management funds under management fell to £16bn in the six months to end of June, compared with £18.4bn in the same period last year.
