Britannic Asset Management, the UK fund manager, has hired Iain Hannah, a former US portfolio manager at Abbey National Asset Management, as it seeks to turn around its poor performance in US equities.

Hannah will manage both retail and institutional portfolios. He will report to Alison Porter, head of US equities.
