British Land sees companies weighing London office options

Property giant British Land says political and economic events are making businesses consider their office needs in London more carefully. But a bumper pre-let agreement in the city's West End suggests demand exists despite concerns about factors including Brexit.

Announcing the company's half-year results on Thursday, chief executive Chris Grigg said of the London office market: "Occupiers are more thoughtful about their requirements as a result of political and economic uncertainty."
