British lawyers have been rushing to Brussels to join the local Bar in order to retain cherished EU law rights before the end of the Brexit transition period on 31 December.

Being sworn in as a Belgium advocate at the Brussels Bar means lawyers can continue to represent their clients before EU institutions and keep the right of professional privilege — rights which UK-qualified lawyers will lose after the end of the Brexit transition period.
