Brown Shipley, the merchant and private bank, has appointed Craig Cowan to its corporate and institutional sales team.

Cowan joins from Global Capital Securities, a South African-based financial services group, where he was chief operating officer. He has also worked for the Johannesburg stock exchange and at Consilium Capital as a director involved in research and sales.
