Bruno Schroder, head of the founding family of the eponymous City fund manager Schroders, has died at 86.

As the representative of the Schroder family on the firm’s board since 1963, he was the longest-serving director of any FTSE 100 company. His death after a short illness was announced by the company on February 21.
