Donald Brydon, chairman and chief executive of AXA Investment Managers, is to take on the role as chairman of the practitioner forum that monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Brydon, whose career spans 20 years at Barclays where he was chief executive of BZW Investment Management and acting chief executive of BZW, takes over from David Challen on the independent panel.
