Bulls return to German trading

Exchanges in Germany, dominated by Deutsche Börse which this week admitted to informal merger talks with rival Euronext, have seen total volumes rocket 15% this year.

A spokeswoman for Deutsche Börse said: "Since the bear markets of 2000 and 2001 there has been a slow recovery, and this year was the turning point and the development will continue at speed."
