Dresdner Kleinwort Benson has continued the reshuffle of its equity capital markets business with the appointment of Peter Burnett as head of ECM in Germany and co-head of global ECM alongside Edward Cumming-Bruce.
Burnett, 39, joins from Warburg Dillon Read in Hong Kong where he was head of Asian ECM. He will replace Reiner Rossmann in Frankfurt, who is transferring to London to bolster the firm's syndicate desk. Burnett qualified as an accountant in 1989 before joining SG Warburg, where he was promoted to executive director in 1996. In addition to his ECM experience in Asia, Burnett has sales experience in Germany and Switzerland and speaks German. The move follows last month's promotion of Conor Killeen, former head of ECM at Dresdner KB, to be global head of equities at the firm after just a year running the ECM division.
