Bush nominates antitrust enforcer

President Bush has nominated Thomas Barnett as head of the antitrust division responsible for enforcing competition laws, including those covering corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Barnett is currently acting assistant attorney general for the division where he has been deputy assistant attorney general for civil enforcement since 2004.
