Duke Street Capital, the mid-market European buy-out firm, and HgCapital, a European mid-market private equity investor, have just recapitalised four companies to boost returns for their investors.

A recapitalisation involves bringing in new debt, which gives the buy-out firm the opportunity to take some money out by way of a dividend.
