Senior executives from across European private equity believe buying assets in a seller’s market poses a major challenge to the industry in 2016.

Asked what issues the year ahead could hold, Guy Hands, chairman of Terra Firma, said: "The biggest challenge the industry will face in 2016 will be finding good ways to invest a huge mountain of dry powder, now well over $1 trillion. It is very difficult to find value in this market."
