Laurent Cadieu, deputy head of equities at Exane BNP Paribas, is leaving his job barely two months after France's largest bank merged its equities business with the small but prestigious broker.

Cadieu reported directly to Philippe Sanlaville, head of equities and effectively number two at the merged entity. He told colleagues he was returning to BNP Paribas as of next month.
