All in, 63 partners have left or announced their intention to leave Goldman Sachs since the beginning of last year, a figure arrived at by comparing the list of partners and managing directors published this month in Goldman Sachs’ 2011 annual report with the annual report for 2010.

The partners who quit in the first few months of last year and 2012 (and whose names would therefore still appear in the annual reports) can be gleaned from reported departures in the media. Of course, some may have slipped out the side door without being noticed.
