Financial News' online editor Penny Sukhraj talks to Jamie Fiore Higgins, former Goldman Sachs managing director and author of Bully Market, about calling out toxic culture in the workplace, and why this matters for investors.
Higgins' book about her "story of money and misogyny at Goldman Sachs" is an explosive account of her experience inside the Wall Street giant. In it, she unpacks how she "saw it all" — from "out-of-control, lavish parties" with a never-ending supply of drinks, to affairs "flouted in the office" and even "rampant drug use".
In a month in which the achievements of women in finance have been widely celebrated, the former MD highlights how there's more work to be done and why she wants women to be courageous about calling out bad behaviour in the workplace.
Higgins will also take questions in the latter part of the interview for Barron's Live.
