Calpers' appetite for private equity unsatisfied

Calpers, the largest pension fund in the world, has demonstrated its continued commitment to private equity with a $122m (€137.7m) investment in Sports Capital Partners, a fund targeting sports, media, leisure, lifestyle and entertainment.

The $170bn (€190.5bn) California Public Employees' Retirement System, is taking on the position in the fund, which was previously held by JPMorgan Chase Capital.
