Calpers appoints managers for $1bn emerging markets portfolio

The $147bn (€169.7bn) California Public Employees' Retirement System (Calpers) has appointed four investment managers to manage an active emerging markets portfolio of up to $1bn.

The four firms are AllianceBernstein in New York, Capital Guardian Trust Co in Los Angeles, Dimentional Fund Advisors in Santa Moncia and Genesis Asset Managers in London.
