Calpers blasts Xerox for corporate governance failings

The California Public Employees' Retirement System (Calpers) has named Xerox, the US copy maker, as among the worst corporate governance offenders in the US.

In scathing criticism of its performance Calpers said: "Xerox tops Calpers' list as one of the most ineffective boards." Calpers said that Xerox is its number one target for a campaign of investor activism during the US proxy season.
