Calpers picks Johnson to head corporate governance

Calpers, the $196bn (€160bn) California state pension fund, has appointed Dennis Johnson, formerly a managing director and senior portfolio manager at Citigroup Asset Management, as its head of corporate governance.

Johnson will represent Calpers on corporate governance issues at conferences, seminars, and company meetings and oversee the pension fund's focus list program, which targets underperforming companies.
